Established in 1987 by passionate residents, the Kirton in Lindsey Society is dedicated to safeguarding and celebrating the rich history of our town. As a registered charity and civic society, our mission is to deepen the understanding of Kirton in Lindsey’s unique past, encompassing its architecture, archaeology, family histories, dialects, and local customs.

Advance Knowledge: Through talks, lectures, exhibitions, and publications, we aim to educate and inspire both locals and visitors about the town’s storied past.

Preserve Heritage: We actively collect and archive materials to prevent the loss of historical information, ensuring it’s accessible for future generations.

Community Engagement: By organizing events and managing the Heritage Room in the Town Hall, we foster a sense of community and shared history.
Monthly Talks and Events
Join us on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM in the Kirton in Lindsey Town Hall for engaging talks on various historical topics. These sessions, running from September to June, are open to all—members, non-members, and visitors alike.
Membership Information

Full Membership: £15 annually, includes free admission to talks.

Concessionary Membership: £8 annually, with a £1 fee per talk.

Non-Members: £3 per talk.
